Target public: Beer sommeliers, master brewers and professionals of the beer
market with previous knowledge in beer processes and beer styles.

History and origins of beer styles, their historical significance, creation of sub-
styles and classification of beer styles;
Guide of styles - BA (Brewers Association);
Guide of styles - BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program);
Deeper studies on sensorial evaluation and management as well as flavor
training;
Vertical and horizontal sensorial training;
Description and technical criteria of styles;
Technical evaluation of beer styles.
German School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
Belgian School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
English School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
American School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
Simulation of beer competitions;
Manufacturing techniques approach;

Class Load:
3 weekends
Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 7pm - 54 hours of class
On the last Saturday of class, there will be a dinner with beer pairings (optional)

Course length: 6 consecutive days
Period: Morning and afternoon
Hours: 9am to 6:30pm

Prova escrita,
prática com os olhos vendados,
prática de degustação de cerveja (preenchimento de formulários de avaliação).
Degustações : Aproximadamente 60 cervejas diferentes de 40 estilos distintos.
Duração e período dos cursos nas diferentes cidades:
Duração: 3 encontros mensais.
Período: Manhãs e tardes, das 9h às 18h30.
Jantar de encerramento no último sábado de aula (opcional).
